• ARE YOU READY TO LEARN TO CODE?

ComIT is a charitable organization on a mission to help change the lives of individuals facing unemployment or underemployment by providing free technology and professional skills training that will help them secure in-demand careers in technology in their community.

We run our three-month, part-time courses, tailoring them based on the technology needs and demands of local employers to ensure our graduates are developing skills that will set them up for success in their local job market.

Our programs are 100% scholarship-based and free for students that qualify, based on our programs' eligibility criteria.

Students are required to attend classes about 8 hours/week, do considerable homework, and create a piece of software as a final project and proof of the skills they have learned.

Upon graduation, students are expected to apply for jobs and network in addition to any help ComIT can provide in contacting employers who are open to interviewing recent graduates

how much are the course fees?

ComIT’s courses are completely free for students. While the programs do have a cost, it is fully covered by our organization—so all ComIT participants are considered scholarship recipients.

do you get jobs for your graduates?

ComIT does not place graduates in jobs or hire them directly. Instead, we provide free training in tech and soft skills that are in high demand, helping our students become strong candidates and significantly improving their chances of getting hired.

WHAT IS THE SELECTION CRITERIA?

– Be legally entitled to work full-time in your country of residence
- Be unemployed or underemployed
- Unable to afford paid training programs
- Have completed secondary school
- Be between 18 and 45 years old
- Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in tech
- Demonstrate a technical mindset or orientation
- Show motivation and perseverance
- Demonstrate commitment and responsibility

IF I DON'T QUALIFY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP, CAN I STILL PAY TO ATTEND THE COURSE?

No. ComIT is a registered charity, not a coding academy. Our programs are designed specifically to support individuals who meet certain criteria. We are not able to offer paid spots outside of this mandate.

If I don’t have any programming experience, can I still take the course?

Yes! While prior knowledge can help, our courses are designed to start from scratch. What matters most is your commitment, effort, and willingness to learn — we’ll guide you through the rest.

DO YOU PROVIDE A CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF THE COURSE?

Yes. ComIT provides certificates to students who successfully complete the course and meet the criteria shared at the beginning.

In which cities and on what dates are the courses being held?

Course dates, schedules, and locations are announced on our social media channels. Follow us on , and to stay up to date.

HOW CAN I REGISTER?

Registrations are done exclusively through our website. Please click the "Apply for a Scholarship" button at the bottom of this page to get started.

I ALREADY REGISTERED ON THE WEBSITE — am I accepted?

No, registering does not mean you’ve been accepted yet. We review applications in the order they’re received and conduct a screening process. If you're selected, you'll receive an email from us before the course begins.

I REGISTERED AND HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM COMIT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Registrations are open year-round. Once a course is scheduled for your area and topic, we’ll review the waiting list and contact eligible applicants in the order they registered. If you meet the selection criteria, you’ll receive an email from us. There’s no need to take any further action after completing the form — just keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder.

I ALREADY REGISTERED IN THE PAST AND NOW I WANT TO register again, but the page doesn’t allow me.

Our website does not allow duplicate registrations. If you need to update your information (for example, your availability), please contact us through the form in our Contact section and include your full name. If you are a former ComIT student, please note that our scholarships are granted once in a lifetime, and you are not eligible to register for a new course.

I'M TRYING TO SIGN IN TO YOUR WEBSITE BUT I'M NOT ABLE TO.

The Sign In section of our website is exclusively for graduates and employer partners. It provides access to our internal job search platform, which is only available to students who have completed a ComIT course and companies looking to hire.

CAN I CHOOSE WHICH COURSE TO TAKE?

No. ComIT is not a coding academy where students choose specific topics. Our goal is to help participants gain employment, so we design each course based on real job market needs. We work closely with companies to understand what skills are in demand and tailor our training accordingly.

IS ATTENDANCE MANDATORY?

Yes. To successfully complete the course, students must attend at least 75% of the classes and complete a final project, which is developed throughout the program.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DROP OUT OR don’t meet the 75% attendance requirement?

ComIT’s programs are made possible through generous donations, and we are committed to using our resources responsibly. If you drop out or fail to meet the 75% attendance requirement (and are removed from the course), you will not be eligible to participate in any future ComIT courses or events.

Are there other course times available if I can’t attend the one I was assigned?

No. You were selected for this course based on the availability you indicated in your registration form. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate schedule changes once your spot has been confirmed.
